There's still time!!!

Photos make fantastic Christmas gifts! Did you take a great candid photo with your cell phone?

Email us the photo and we can print it either 8x10 or 11x14 (or larger) and frame it in a readymade frame very inexpensively and quickly.

For example: We print your great photo at 11x14 and frame it in a beautiful 11x14 readymade frame and the cost is just $39.00... All you have to do is email us the photo and choose the frame, we do the rest. The best part.... it will be ready for you the next day!

Finding a treasure...

 Sometimes you find the unexpected....
This past week we had a client bring in an old frame she found at a thrift store and was going to replace the old faded poster that was in it with another image of hers...
When we took the old poster out of the frame we found a treasure hidden behind it. There we found an almost perfectly preserved marriage certificate from Illinois dated March 9, 1882. All the lettering could be easily read and our client was thrilled to know we found it. Even though she doesn't know who the folks might be in the certificate she is going to try to track down their descendants and return the marriage certificate to their family.

What a great story!

Share a memory!

Recently we had a dad come in with a box full of items his daughter acquired at the Taylor Swift concert.  He wanted to make a keepsake for her in the form of an object box / shadowbox.
Below are a couple of pictures.  The first one is of all of the items before we moved them about into a pleasing arrangement.

Horse Mane Shadowbox

Horse Mane Shadowbox
Here is a shadowbox we finished this week.  It is the mane from two horses that our client has loved and lost.  These manes were wrapped at the top with a piece of leather, then we sewed that leather to the light green mat.

We raised the top mat high enough so the glass wouldn't touch the manes and then used our computerized mat cutter to write the horses names under their manes and also wrote "Happy Trails" at the top.
We also added a debossing design on the top map.  It's subtle, but the client loved it.
Do you have some special memories that you'd like to preserve and enjoy everyday?  We can help!

Shop Local and shop online!

Want to shop local and still have the convenience of shopping online? Visit Pacific Frame & Gallery's online store to purchase artwork from local, Yamhill County artists. It couldn't be any easier to SHOP LOCAL!

As you may know, Pacific Frame & Gallery does fine printing for local residents and artists.  We pride ourselves in the quality of our prints.  One of the main differences with our printing is that each image is individually viewed and analyzed before printing.  With this viewing we can catch and correct things like color casts, flaws in the image, etc.  This step sets us apart from our competitors.  We urge you to come in and take a look at our print samples and see the quality for yourselves.  We can print on canvas, watercolor paper and, of course, photo paper up to 44" wide!

And now we have some of the artists we print for on our online shop.  Take a look at these two beautiful photos from local photographers.

"Cape Kiwanda" Jason Li

"Pinot Noir" Bill Miller

We are adding more artists and images to our site weekly.  Visit our online shop to view some beautiful artwork, decide on the size you'd like and place your order!

Artist Win Martinson

Win is another of the talented artists we have the pleasure of working with.  Each of her paintings and drawings tell a beautiful story.

"I am a born and bred native of Los Angeles, turning to painting seriously only as an adult, studying Life Drawing and pursuing week-long seminars with celebrated watercolorists who came into town. Motivated by God-given creative urges, my works of watercolor and pen & ink drawings through the years accumulated into quite a large boy of privately held work. Since 2001, I have lived in McMinnville, Oregon, with my husband, and it is here that an unforeseen sense of delight in my ability to inspire joy and beauty in others has been kindled and is fanned as new public opportunities take me out of my more comfortable private self".  ~ Win Martinson

Artist Joan Metcalf

Joan Metcalf is one of the extremely talented artists we are privileged to work with and print for.

My paintings of large-scale florals, gardens, landscapes and seascapes all reflect my fascination with the lush, natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Whether I’m painting autumn leaves, crashing waves or quiet, reflecting river scenes, I try to portray nature at its most colorful and dramatic.  ~ Joan Metcalf
