Sometimes you find the unexpected.... This past week we had a client bring in an old frame she found at a thrift store and was going to replace the old faded poster that was in it with another image of hers...
When we took the old poster out of the frame we found a treasure hidden behind it. There we found an almost perfectly preserved marriage certificate from Illinois dated March 9, 1882. All the lettering could be easily read and our client was thrilled to know we found it. Even though she doesn't know who the folks might be in the certificate she is going to try to track down their descendants and return the marriage certificate to their family.
